How’s school today?

I normally asks Hughie about school when we come home in the evening.

He has this to say – the exact phrase from him.

“Sweep floor. Clean table. Wash wash. Eat rice, broccoli and fish ball. Not enough!”

So I assume the school is using our children as cheap labor to do general cleaning and reward them with food which is not enough to cover the hard work.

Hmmmm… Amusing indeed :)

Time to start the “D”

I’m insane but someone has to do it.

Hughie needs to start dieting again. :(

Teacher says he asks for second helping everyday at school during lunch hour. Guess he must be hungry not eating since breakfast or their food tastes better or because they let him mess around with utensils and sorts or he has all his friends eating with him. Probably all of this is the MAIN reason for a good appetite!

Whatever the reason he has to go on a diet.

Nothing drastic but reducing in portion is a good start. He still requests mummy to carry him so it’s also good on my back *blush*

That poor boy; no one else can carry him because of his size and weight that he longs to be carried all the time! So I always give in even though he is on the heavy side. Poor thing.

He has gone horizontal on me after slimming down a bit during his 2 months stay with grandma. Now with no one watching the “D”, I’m afraid he might go obese on me before he reaches 6 years of age!

Now, the veggie-adventure begins. :)

Next trick please!

So, the doctor trick lost its magic. Food bait lost its charm. I’m running low on ideas to fool a 3 year old to school.

I was saved by …. A perfect excuse that I hope Hughie will buy for this week.

Hughie recognizes the road leading to school (this is so bad!) and started to whine protesting his “I do not want teacher” attitude. All those magic tricks I had was explicitly worthless.

When we reached school, I stopped the car and told him this before he cry me a river.

“Teacher lost her music CD this morning. Teacher is looking for it so that you can sing later. You go in and help her find the CD ok? No more music later if you cannot find it”.

He looked at me. Jumped down the car eagerly and walked into the school without saying goodbye – with his new bag stuffed with food bait!

Yes, his obsession with CD and music. Let’s just hope this trick work till Friday! :)
